IACO an organization recognized by the Office of Legal Access Programs (OLAP) of the Department of Justice (DOJ)
DOJ is charged with recognizing organizations and accrediting representatives seeking permission to practice before DHS, immigration courts, and DOJ. One of the requirements established as a DOJ recognized organization is to have adequate knowledge, information and experience and to assist immigrants at relatively low costs.
Since 2006, IACO is part of the organizations recognized by the Office of Legal Access Programs (OLAP) of the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Esperanza Torres, the organization's deputy executive director, was accredited by the DOJ to legally represent immigrants before the USCIS. She has worked in the immigration area for over 10 years.
IACO also has the services of Ileana Montes, as Legal Director, and Masiel Valentín, as an associate attorney. They are attorneys specialized in immigration matters and represent IACO clients before the USCIS.
