This program was created to advice, assist and represent the immigrants in their immigration procedures before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and related agencies and departments. Through this program, IACO helps American citizens and legal permanent residents in the process of family reunification. The program further seeks to guide these immigrants in their processes to legal residency and naturalization. IACO’s accompaniment does not end with the adjustment of status or when a “Green Card” is granted, IACO accompaniment finishes when the immigrant obtains the American citizenship.
Through this program IACO advices:
- American citizens who want to bring their parents, siblings, spouses and children to the United States
- Immigrants who want to file a visa petition under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), as amended by the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). (Self-petition of battered spouses, children or parents
