USCIS WILL RESUME PUBLIC SERVICES ON JUNE 4, 2020
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services prepares individual offices in the United States to reopen to the public on or after June 4, after temporarily suspending routine in-person services to help stem the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19 ). In offices that are closed to the public, the USCIS task force performs essential organizational tasks that do not involve contact with the public. However, these offices provide emergency services in limited situations. To schedule an emergency appointment, contact the USCIS Contact Center.
Offices will gradually open and safely resume resuming services in person, with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for the purpose of protecting our workforce and the public. USCIS offices will implement social distancing and workplace measures that prioritize the health and safety of employees and the public. The appointment notifications will have information about security precautions that visitors to USCIS facilities should follow.
Online application submission is the most convenient and interactive way to submit forms, check the status of your case, and receive notifications.
USCIS will update this page as the situation develops and will follow CDC guidelines.
