USCIS Expands Flexibility to Respond to Agency Requests.

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service has expanded the flexibilities it announced on March 30 to assist applicants and petitioners who respond to certain Requests for Evidence, Notices of Intent. o Requirements for the presentation of appeals o Motion.

 • Requests for Evidence,

• Continuations to Requests for Evidence (N-14),

• Notices of Intent to Deny,

• Notifications of Intent to Revoke,

• Notifications of Intent to Rescind and Notifications of Intent to Cancel from regional investment centers, and

• Date requirements for filing Form I-290B, Notice of Appeal Motion.

Date of Issuance of the Notification / Request / Decision

This flexibility applies to the documents listed above if the issue date indicated in the application, notification or decision is between March 1, 2020 and July 1, 2020, inclusive.

Deadline for Responses

USCIS will consider any response to requests and notifications if received within 60 calendar days of the response deadline indicated on the request or notification before taking any action. USCIS will consider any Form I-290B received up to 60 calendar days from the date of the decision before taking any action.
