USCIS Extends myProgress Tool to More Processing Forms

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services announced that it has extended the myProgress service (formerly known as custom processing times) to Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization and Form I-131, Application for Travel Document.

myProgress provides applicants with access, through their own online accounts, to specific estimates of their waiting time for the major stages of their case, including the final decision on their case. Although these estimates are based on historical patterns of cases with specific details similar to your case, they are not a guarantee of speed, cannot account for all possible one-time application delays, and may underestimate or overestimate the true processing time.

In addition to Form I-765 and Form I-131, myProgress is available to applicants with a USCIS online account who file Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Form I-90, Application to Replace Card Permanent Resident, or Form I-130, Petition for Immediate Relative.

To view estimates of case processing times, applicants must first can bring to life or log in to your USCIS online account and select your pending application. If you submitted your application electronically or linked one of the applicable forms to your online account using an online access code, you will see a tab titled “myProgress” for your application. The myProgress tab displays the estimated wait time until your case is decided, along with a check mark next to three main milestones as they are completed:

  • Confirmation that your case was received;
  • Biometric data appointment (if required) has been completed; and
  • The decision on the pending case.

Applicants will still need to visit the website Case Processing Times to determine if they are eligible for a service inquiry for a case outside of normal processing times.
