Updates on COVID-19

The New Jersey Governor's Office has released the following information:

1) The Diabetes Foundation has opened a hotline for diabetics in need of assistance, including free emergency kits, https://diabetesfoundationinc.org/ or 973-849-5234. We are incredibly grateful for your cooperation and support.

2) The Governor today signed Executive Order 109 that suspends elective surgeries and invasive medical and dental procedures as of 5:27 pm on Friday, March XNUMX. We realize this can cause stress for some who now need to postpone elective surgeries. We ask for understanding that both the medical space and the equipment must be prioritized at this time. We encourage people to contact their doctors to discuss.

3) For Hudson County residents or first responders working in Hudson County, tests are available by appointment only at Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus only for individuals exhibiting symptoms. Call 201 388-1097 for an appointment. People will not be tested if they go without an appointment.

4) COVID19.nj.gov is still the best entry point for most people with questions, but as always we are here to help if we can be helpful.
