Transportation for Medical Appointments
LogistiCare provides transportation management that does work. It is the nation's leading administrator of medical transportation programs serving government entities, managed care organizations, self-insured entities, hospitals, highway authorities, and school councils. Currently, the company manages more than 1,000 transportation service providers and coordinates more than 18 million trips for more than 6 million people each year.
LogistiCare became the state's medical transportation corridor in July 2009 and is now responsible for organizing through its provider network: Superior Mode Non-Emerging Mobility Assistance Vehicles (MAVs), Ambulance Service, and Livery Service lower for Medicaid recipients in all counties. The Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services (DMAHS) staff understand the critical role of transportation for their clients who require regular doctor visits for chronic conditions. Therefore, LogistiCare's transportation schedules are closely monitored to ensure that customer needs are properly managed.
It is important for LogistiCare to be informed if clients or physicians are encountering problems with a specific transportation provider. This will allow your QA staff to resolve the situation.
