The Immigrant Integration Conference and Consular Fair 2023 achieved remarkable success

The 2023 Consular Fair and Immigrant Integration Conference, held June 20-24 at the City Center Mall in Paterson, NJ, concluded with exceptional results. The event, with the objective of promoting the integration of immigrants and collaboration between consulates and state agencies, featured various activities that empowered and informed the immigrant community.

With a strong turnout, the 2023 Immigrant Integration Conference and Consular Fair attracted more than 300 people. The event served as a hub for immigrants, providing them with essential resources, guidance and assistance, facilitating their integration into the local community.

One of the highlights of the 2023 Immigrant Integration Conference and Consular Fair was the provision of consular services by the Mexican Consulate. The consulate successfully provided assistance to 200 Mexican citizens. This crucial support strengthens the ties between the Mexican Consulate and the local community, ensuring that Mexican immigrants receive the assistance they need to prosper and succeed.

Another highlight of the event was the enriching round table that promoted immigrant integration and collaboration between consulates and state agencies. The round table emphasized the crucial role of consulates in supporting immigrants and highlighted the importance of inter-institutional alliances and the sharing of best practices. The participants were actively involved in discussions, identifying opportunities for collaboration and committing to joint actions that will benefit the immigrant community.

The 2023 Immigrant Integration Conference and Consular Fair also included daily informative talks on labor rights and COVID-19 vaccine awareness. These sessions provided attendees with valuable insights, empowering them to make informed decisions and face important aspects of their lives. The event also featured informational tables representing consulates, such as Colombia and Peru, and state agencies, such as the Office of New Americans and OSHA. These information tables offered guidance and information to immigrants on a wide range of topics, further improving their integration and well-being.
