Register to vote!
The deadline to register to vote in the next election is 21 days before Election Day. (October 13, 2020)
To register in New Jersey, you must be:
- US Citizen
- At least 17 years old, although you cannot vote until you have turned 18
- A county resident for 30 days prior to the election.
- A person who does not serve a sentence of incarceration as a result of a conviction for a crime indictable under the laws of this or another state or of the United States.

Register online. This option is available in 39 states and the District of Columbia.
Download the National Mail Voter Registration Form (PDF, download Adobe Reader).
You can fill it out on your computer and print it out, or print it blank and then fill it out by hand. Remember to sign the form before mailing it to the address that corresponds to your state (included in the instructions on the form).
