USCIS Updates Guidance on Custody Determination for Minors Acquiring U.S. Citizenship
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has issued new guidance on legal and physical custody requirements for children seeking to acquire U.S. citizenship. This update expands and clarifies guidance under Sections 320 and 322 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), as well as derivation of citizenship under the former INA 321.

Benefits for New Jersey Workers Who Will Be Parents
Birth parents must apply for temporary disability insurance at myleavebenefits.nj.gov/maternity. The length of leave is determined by your health care provider. Benefits are generally provided for 10 to 12 weeks so you can take time off work and care for yourself before and after the birth of your baby. Generally, this is 4 weeks before your due date, plus an additional 6 weeks after a vaginal delivery or 8 weeks after a cesarean section. Leave may be longer if you have significant complications or are in isolation due to a public health emergency.
