Why is your case taking so long to process by USCIS?

Nationwide, you and millions of families, businesses, and individuals applying for immigration benefits are waiting longer for the United States. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to process and approve applications and petitions.
Based on previously available USCIS data, in fiscal year (FY) 2014, an average case took approximately five months to process. In fiscal year 2020, an average case took more than nine months. Those extra months of waiting stop business operations, keep families apart and put lives at risk.

Financial Benefit for Excluded New Jersey Residents

The ENJF provides a one-time, direct cash benefit to eligible households that have suffered financial hardship due to COVID-19 and were excluded from both federal stimulus checks and COVID-related unemployment assistance, including undocumented individuals. , residents returning from the justice system, and anyone else excluded.

Child Tax Credit

The Internal Revenue Service launched a new feature that allows any family receiving monthly Child Tax Credit payments to quickly and easily update their mailing address through the Child Tax Credit Update Portal, found exclusively on IRS.gov . This feature will help any family that chooses to receive their payment by paper check to avoid postage delays or even having a check returned for failure to deliver.
