Below you will find an analysis of the Visa Bulletin issued by the State Department, which determines the availability of immigrant visas for the different categories of family and work petitions, as well as general information that will help you understand how it works.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the rescission of the cancellations made by the previous administration of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designations for El Salvador, Honduras, Nepal and Nicaragua, and the extension of TPS for these countries by 18 months. 

Labor laws in NJ apply regardless of the worker's immigration status. Do you need to be away from work for a long time due to pregnancy, childbirth, illness/injury, or to care for a loved one? You may qualify for paid family leave and/or temporary disability benefits. 

Family Leave Insurance benefits can partially replace your salary when you have to stop working to care for a loved one with physical or mental health problems, or to deal with certain issues related to domestic or sexual violence.

 

Employers must participate in these State public insurance programs and deduct payroll taxes for employees working in NJ, or employers may choose to provide employees coverage through a private insurance plan that meets NJ requirements.

Vaccination is a vital component of public health, as it not only protects the person receiving the vaccine, but also contributes to herd immunity. By achieving high vaccination rates, we can protect vulnerable people who cannot be vaccinated due to underlying health conditions.

The impact of COVID-19 on public health has been significant around the world. The high contagion capacity of the virus makes it difficult to control its spread, since even asymptomatic people can transmit the virus without knowing it. The global pandemic has resulted in millions of infections and hundreds of thousands of deaths. 

The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program provides monthly payments to adults and children with disabilities or blindness who have income and resources below specific financial limits. SSI payments are also provided to financially eligible people age 65 and older without disabilities.
