Van Slyke Castle Walk: Saturday, November 5 at 9:00 a.m. Ramapo Mountain State Forest – Oakland, New Jersey

Enjoy with us the dazzling colors of fall and encounter castle ruins, great trails and picturesque mountain views. This is a moderate 3-4 mile hike. Free program.

National Walking Day: Saturday, November 19 at 9:00 a.m. Rifle Camp Park – Woodland Park, New Jersey

A quick escape from the hustle and bustle, Rifle Camp Park offers visitors the opportunity to hike miles of forest trails and take in expansive views, all in the midst of suburban New Jersey. This is a moderate 3-4 mile hike. Free program.

Hike to the Turkey Burner: Friday, November 25 at 9:00 am Wawayanda State Park/Stairway to Heaven and Pinwheel Vista – Hewitt, New Jersey 

One of our most popular walks, scheduled for the day after Thanksgiving, to help you lose your appetite from the day before! We head west from the main area of ​​Wawayanda State Park to the top of Pinwheel Vista, and then head back to the start area. This is a moderate 6 mile hike. Free program.

Wildlife Conservation Day Walk: Sunday, December 4 at 9:00 am Highlands Reservation/Surprise Lake – Hewitt, New Jersey 

Celebrate wildlife conservation with a walk on the wild side and enjoy a late fall forest walk. This is a moderately challenging 6 mile hike. Free program. 

Ugly Sweater Walk: Saturday, December 10 at 9:00 a.m. Ringwood State Park/Red Trail – Rindwood, New Jersey 

Break out your ugliest sweater and join us for an exciting early morning hike in beautiful Ringwood State Park. This is a moderate 3 mile hike. Free program.
