The “Section 8” Housing Choice Voucher Program is federally funded and provides housing subsidies to New Jersey residents so they can access adequate, safe, and sanitary housing. Individuals applying to be on the waiting list must be eighteen (18) years of age or older or an emancipated minor and meet all applicable federal income and eligibility requirements. A total of 20,000 families will be selected through a random draw system and placed on the “Section 8” Housing Choice Voucher Program waiting list, based on selection established by a random draw system.
