H Court Orders Full Restoration of DACA, including initial applications
Pursuant to an order from a federal judge in New York, USCIS announced on the evening of Monday, December 7, 2020, that it is now accepting the following applications: initial or first-time DACA applications (Form I-821D); renewal of DACA applications; and requests for Advance Parole (Form I-131) for DACA recipients. IACO strongly encourages those who are eligible to submit DACA applications to do so as soon as possible. USCIS indicated that you can appeal the order, so this window of eligibility to apply may be closed.

D TPS is extended for El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nepal, Nicaragua and Sudan
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today announced a Federal Register notice expanding the Temporary Protected Status (TPS, by its) and the validity of TPS-related documentation for beneficiaries under the TPS designations for El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nepal, Nicaragua and Sudan. The notice is automatically extended until October 4, 2021, the validity of Employment Authorization Documents (EAD); Forms I-797, Notice of Action; and Forms I-94, Arrival / Departure Record (collectively, TPS-related documentation) for beneficiaries under the TPS designations for these six countries. The notice also establishes the necessary procedures for nationals of these six countries (or non-nationals who habitually reside in these countries) to apply for EAD if they wish.
